My wife gave me the ultimate compliment this Father’s Day (US holiday), “you total patience and understanding”.
I have begun letting my daughter, age six, paint and work on the models with me. This weekend in her excitement a set of legs hit the floor and one piece became three. My daughter broke into tears. She thought this was the end of her getting to model with me.
I told her it gave us a chance to make the model stronger by using an internal support frame. I showed her how we would pin the foot and the hip.
When it was all said and done she was happier than I was because she knew we would be modeling again.
Ironically I think all three sets of legs are now pinned. I think I will make doing the hip pin a standard in the future.
