2004-11-21 Imperial Guard Heavy Sentinel
Now this weekend I worked late on the models almost five whole hours. I hit the bed at 02:00 feeling that I had not accomplished enough while I did do some.
I finished putting the additional armor on the #3 sentinel. This is done by putting a cut and filed cheater on the underside of the armor and gluing it sideways onto the sentinel main body. I have a picture but it is hard to tell any difference between the other two sentinels.
I have finished upgrading the #2 pair of legs and will replicate these on the last set. While rummaging around with the twelve gauge wire I used on the first heavy dread I looked at the 3/32 piping I used to reinforce the hip of the #1 sentinel. The size was much more conducive to my beefy look. The only problem is that with the increase of size I had very little play room on the hing point of the legs. It took a few tries on the lower part to get it to look right. I will be doing the third pair hopefully over the holiday even though I do not have the titan parts.
I have glued the upper armor on #1 sentinel's legs. The problem I am having right now is the lower armor. I do not like the Titan leg armor as much as I had hoped. I have tried it straight up. I have tried it reversed having the larger part on the side.
I have tried them inverted as (sorry about the quality) and still I am so undecided that I am about to leave them off totally.
I have also taken the front body armor plating of the Titan and glued it as extra armor just below the missile launcher on the #1 and #2 Sentinels. Since both have a beveled edge this fits much nicer.
