2005-11-20 Imperial Guard Heavy Sentinel

Ok, I finally cop-out. When GW released the new version of the Space Marine Predator tank I loved the main turret. Now I had already built my hatches but was disappointed by the result. I still plan to use them but I really liked the GW ones. I have been sitting on this project from well before summer but I decided it was time to complete it. This version of the Heavy Sentinel is for the Commisar. I hope to combine a Cadian uniform, some green stuff and a Commisar head. Either that or order the Commisar Tank commander. I will be working on him soon.

I have also purchased the ForgeWorld Cadian tank commander. Lets just say I was hoping for better. The hardest part was taking the tank commander from the LemanRuss Tank spur cutting off the lower body and carving it up so that the outline of the legs meet the bottom hatch right.





This other commander is the directions officer(whatever) from one of the Cadian heavy weapons units and a sergeant's arm notice the stripes in the third picture. If you look you can see the cut I made to pin the hand holding the binoculars. I gave him a way oversized set of binoculars. When I was in the 1st CAV the tank commanders all had these oversized binoculars.
