2006-01-02 Imperial Guard Heavy Sentinel
Well Christmas break allowed for several opportunities to model.
I worked mainly on appearances. When creating the Heavy Sentinel the last one I went for a more running pose. After I had painted the feet I noted that the footprint was poor, in fact it did not have a foot tread. It was a real revelation when I was looking at it. Out came the “green stuff”. I had to use a small bit for each toe section so it would look like the parts might move. I know that my putty work is not the greatest but I like the affect.
I have also been working on a Commissar. I used a canteen for the front neck guard and an officer’s head on a Cadian body. I cut the torso off of the standing tank commander, I was sure to not to cut the ammo pouches on the belt. I glued the pistol from the heavy weapons spru. I am working on the hands trying to position them to look like he is caressing his pistol.
